Mount Kilimanjaro National Park is situated around the Moshi region of Tanzania. It is home to the highest free-standing mountain on the planet. The national park has a diverse range of habitats and various vegetation zones. And this habitat supports a wide range of wildlife species.

Best Time to Visit

The Dry Seasons (from December to March and June to September) are usually regarded as the best time to visit Kilimanjaro National Park. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is also optimal this month.

If you plan to visit Kilimanjaro National Park in the wet season (April and November) you can take advantage of reduced costs. Though, keep in mind that climbing the mountain will be a bit challenging. So, make sure that you train beforehand and have all the essential types of equipment handy.

Getting There

The most convenient way to get to Kilimanjaro National Park is by flying into Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). The airport is just a 50-minute drive from the town of Moshi. From Moshi, you can go directly to the park. It’ll take just 25 minutes by taxi or rental car.
