Can I obtain a Visa at Kilimanjaro Airport?

The answer is yes! You can acquire a visa at the Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). But only if your application for a visa has been accepted. You’ll need to submit the necessary documents and provide the confirmation email.

Where else can I get a Kilimanjaro Visa?

You can get a Kilimanjaro Visa on arrival at the following places:

  • In Zanzibar – At the office of Immigration
  • In Dar es Salaam – At the office of the Director of the Immigration Services
  • From Abroad – Any Tanzanian diplomatic missions or the Immigration services website. The list of Tanzanian diplomatic missions can be found here.

Note – You can also obtain a Kilimanjaro Visa at any of the Tanzania Entry points. They include international airports, Kigoma, Tunduma, Nagma, and Horohoro.

What Documents do I need to apply for a Kilimanjaro Visa?

Here are the documents that you’ll need when applying for a Kilimanjaro Visa:

  • A valid Passport
  • Recent passport-sized photographs
  • Invitation or Cover Letter
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
  • Return Tickets
  • Travel Itinerary
